Home Builders & Remodelers Associations of Eastern and Central Connecticut Unite, Forming the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Connecticut River Region
Merger creates a stronger, unified voice for the residential construction industry across six Connecticut counties
Rocky Hill, CT – The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut and the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Connecticut have merged to create the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Connecticut River Region. The newly combined organization will serve more than 500 member companies across six counties: Windham, Tolland, New London, New Haven, Middlesex, and Hartford.
The merger strengthens the voice of Connecticut’s residential construction industry, bringing together builders, remodelers, skilled trades, suppliers, and service professionals under a single, more impactful regional organization.
With the merger, the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the CT River Region will:
- Expand Member Services – Provide a broader array of educational programs, workforce development initiatives, networking events, and cost-saving benefits.
- Strengthen Advocacy – Speak with a unified voice on housing policy, permitting, and code issues at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Increase Community Impact – Coordinate charitable projects and promote careers in the skilled trades across a wider geographic footprint.
“This merger reflects our shared commitment to building a stronger future for the residential construction industry across our region. By coming together, we’re combining decades of expertise and advocacy to better serve our members and the communities they help build,” said Patrick Caulkins, Chairman, Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut.
“As we unite under a single banner, we’re creating more opportunities for our members to connect, learn, and grow. This merger positions us to be a more powerful voice on the issues that matter most, from workforce development to housing affordability, “said Matt Gilchrist, Chairman, Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Connecticut.
“This is more than a merger, it’s a milestone. By aligning our strengths, we’re creating a dynamic, future-focused association that’s better equipped to support our members and address the challenges facing the home building industry. I’m excited to lead this new chapter and deliver even greater value to our members, partners, and communities, added Eric Person, Executive Officer, Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Connecticut River Region.
The transition is effective immediately. Members of both legacy associations will automatically become members of the HBRA of the CT River Region and gain access to the combined resources, events, and advocacy efforts of the larger organization. A new brand identity and website will launch in the coming weeks.
