Any company that works with scaffolding is required to have a competent person trained in the erection, placement and maintenance of scaffolding. This includes employees, supervisors, foreman or anyone who erects or oversees the use of scaffolds. The CPT program for scaffolding was developed by the Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) to provided participants with the proper training and credentials to be a competent person on the jobsite. A certificate of completion and wallet card will be issued by the SIA to those who successfully complete the course.
